Tools for Life

St. George School, NSW is a school for students with disabilities. There are 48 students at the school and the majority of these students are non-verbal and rely on alternative means of communication.
St. George School wanted to develop an effective communications system so that when students leave the school, they can adequately function in society. Microsoft Services were engaged by the Department of Aged, Disability and Home Care who in turn appointed Readify to develop a solution. The device used for the project is a slate PC running Windows Vista with a customised User Interface which was developed by Readify. The solution has been very effective in providing the students new ways of communicating.
